This week we were pleased to host our Partner Fund Summit, bringing together all 15 of our Partner Funds, founding and new, in the same room over two days. Together, those funds represent more than £100 billion in assets, and the Summit marked an important moment in our shared journey as a pool.
The purpose of the Summit was simple but significant, to create the space for open, honest and practical discussion about how we make pooling work well, now and into the future. Across the two days, we reflected on our journey to date, heard from our new Chair on the role of the Board, explored our investment and advisory capabilities, and focused on how we work together as one partnership.
Session highlights included governance, collaboration, delivering for clients and local investment. Just as importantly, they were designed to be interactive, discussion and shared problem solving rather than one-way presentations. The quality of engagement from Partner Funds throughout was thoughtful, constructive and focused on outcomes.
One of the most striking aspects of the Summit was the positivity of the conversation. This was not about ticking boxes or revisiting familiar debates. Instead, discussions centred on how we strengthen governance from a shareholder perspective, how we improve the practical operation of pooling, and how we collectively deliver long-term value for Partner Funds and their members.
As our Chief Executive, Richard Law-Deeks, reflected during the Summit, the focus on practical solutions, shared purpose and collaborative working gives real confidence as we look ahead to the next phase of our development.
We would like to thank all Partner Funds for the time, insight and commitment they brought to the Summit. Our success depends on strong partnership, open dialogue and mutual trust, and the discussions over the past two days were a powerful demonstration of those principles in action.
We look forward to building on this momentum as we continue to evolve together, with a clear shared goal of making pooling a success for all.
