On World Menopause Day, we take great pride in being a signatory of the Menopause Workplace Pledge. We remain committed to this along with our involvement with the Diversity Project to address this previously little discussed, but widely impacting topic.
A small group of employees started a support group ‘MenTea’ last year attended by both women and men from across the Company. This has grown in size, and they meet monthly sharing ideas, best practice, research and most of all supporting each other. We believe this is an important initiative contributing to well-being of our employees and we are committed to it through the Menopause Workplace Pledge.
Chair of the Mentea group Samantha Woodward said, ‘We have seen great success from the group, offering mutual support and insights from a broad range of perspectives. We acknowledge the challenges that menopause can present, and we were keen to create an understanding of it across the workforce, as well as ensure we create a supportive environment for those directly impacted’.
