LGPS Central Limited is pleased to announce that we are now part of the 30% Club, a global campaign committed to better gender balance at senior levels and throughout organisations.
The campaign aims to develop a diverse pool of talent for businesses through the efforts of company Chairs and CEOs, with an understanding that firms will work on their talent pipelines to drive sustainable, long-term progress at senior levels.
Our CEO, Mike Weston, who will represent the Company as our 30% Club member, said he was delighted to be part of a campaign that promotes gender equality.
Mike explained: “Treating everyone equally has always been important to me. As a father of two ambitious daughters myself, I’m determined to help create a world where they, and all other women, have the same opportunities as their male counterparts. This is especially needed in the financial services industry, which has traditionally been very male-dominated.”
Mike will work to continue the Company’s progress towards a sustainable gender balance, as well as using his influence to promote gender diversity within other firms.
LGPS Central is already a member of the 30% Investor Group, in which our Responsible Investment team works with firms we invest in to improve their gender diversity.
Our membership of the 30% Club is just one part of a wider diversity and inclusion initiative that we are committed to, looking at nurturing our broader talent within the business from recruitment to progression.
